August Burns Red just finished up their co-headlining tour with The Amity Affliction called the The Spring Horizons Tour 2026. They stopped at the Nevermore Hall in Baltimore, MD on 5/15/2026 and I had the amazing opportunity to cover the sold out show. The night was filled with non-stop energy, constant headbanging, circle pits galore, and endless crowd surfing. It was truly spectacular!
Anyway, continue reading below for more photos of August Burns Red and my full review of the show. August Burns Red never disappoints. They always bring the heat and energy, and this night was not different. As the lights dimmed, the stage ignited with a blue laser, outlining the amazing stage. The band came out and jumped into three absolute bangers, “Meddler,” “Back Burner,” and “Invisible Enemy.” Honestly, “Back Burner” has been one of my favorite songs and seeing it up close and personal was a life changing experience. As the band played, there were non-stop crowd surfers flowing over the barricade. It was awesome!
August Burns Red has a new album coming out on June 5th called Seasons of Surrender. They played two of the singles from that album, “Behemoth” and “Nameless.” If these songs are any sign of how hard this album is going to be, I cannot wait! It was great being able to see “Behemoth” live because I am in love with the drum tracking on the song. Matt Greiner is a drum wizard and his rudiment combinations are awe inspiring. “Behemoth” features a bunch of quarter note triplets, and they add a fervor and intensity to the song.
Speaking of drumming, one of the best highlights of the night was Greiner’s drum solo. Now when you hear drum solo, you think of a drummer just wailing away at the drum set by himself. Well that did happen, but there were an additional three toms which other members came out and drummed along. It was awesome! One of the best moments was the climax of the solo and Jake Luhrs came out and dinged a triangle right on que. The crowd erupted!
I do feel like a broken record anytime I review an August Burns Red show. Because I will always say, if you get a chance to see them live, do not hesitate to go! I have never been to a bad ABR show. As of right now, their next US show is December 3rd, 2026 at their annual Christmas Burns Red show. This year is something special because they have a guest headliner! Nothing has been announced yet, but I am definitely keeping an eye out for announcements!
