Alternative rock pioneers They Might Be Giants played for a sold out crowd at Rams Head Live in Baltimore, MD on 12/18/2022. Most of the dates on this tour were sold out, and for good reason. TMBG were celebrating the 40th Anniversary as a band, as well as the release of their 1990 album, Flood. This show honestly felt and sounded like a celebration.

If you were unable to see TMBG in 2022, check the Official TMBG Website for 2023 tour dates. Also be sure to check out TMBG newest album, BOOK. Continue reading below for more pics and my full review. All images copyright and courtesy of Andy Jillson.

Fans in Baltimore’s inner harbor packed Rams Head Live for TMBG long-awaited show. There was a mixture of joy and anticipation among the attendees. I too felt similar while standing in the photo pit awaiting the bands arrival. I was extremely happy to finally be seeing the band perform live, and also felt somewhat nervous. Once they took the stage, the next 3 songs in the photo pit seem like a distant blur.

I have been a fan of TMBG since I was a teenager in the early 90s. As I mentioned, this was my first time seeing them live. Luckily I arrived about 45 minutes early for the show. The band actually began their set about 30 minutes before the original scheduled time. One of the John’s had a sick cat at home he needed to take care of. Respect.

TMBG played a wealth of great songs and seemed to have fulfilled the hopes of their fans in attendance. I’m hoping to see the band again sometime in the near future. Anyway, continue scrolling below for more of my pics.
