Heavy riffs, constant energy, and all of the pyro you can imagine – this was the Summer of Loud festival. On July 19th, I had the privilege to attend The Summer of Loud Festival at The York State Fair. Eight bands, four headliners, and unforgettable moments. This amazing festival featured Dark Divine, Alpha Wolf, The Devil Wears Prada, The Amity Affliction, I Prevail, Beartooth, Killswitch Engage, and Parkway Drive. This dream lineup destroyed the York State Fair and I am so glad I was able to witness it.

I Prevail are currently on a co-headlining tour with Halestorm and came to perform at The York State Fair on 7/27/2024. The entire bill consists of Fit For A King, Hollywood Undead, I Prevail, and Halestorm. I Prevail crushed their performance in front of all 10K in attendance!

Live @ 9:30 Club (Photo by Andy Jillson)

One of the biggest “alternative rock” bands to come out of the 1990’s, +LIVE+, stopped at DC’s 9:30 Club recently, and I was there taking photos and reliving a bit of my early teenager years. Live is out on tour again following their 2016 reunion, and the band played an amazing set of songs in front of a frenzied sold-out crowd at DC’s historic venue on September 16, 2019. The 2016 reunion of Live has been well-received by critics and fans alike. The reunion has given the fans a chance to see the band again and/or for the first time and gave the band themselves an opportunity to celebrate this year’s 25th anniversary of, Throwing Copper.
